For those who have yet to embrace the augmented reality phenomenon Pokémon Go, here's a beginners guide. For the rest who've jumped headfirst into the sensation with phone in hand—here are a few spots around Anaheim that are perfect for Pokémon trainers in search of rare or exotic Pokémon.
Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park

"The Happiest Place on Earth" is also one of the happiest places for Pokémon Go trainers! The park is full of Pokéstops, rare Pokémon and you'll definitely get in plenty of steps too! While we await the highly anticipated Star Wars Land (currently under construction), try to discover an eluding Goldeen or Pikachu while you wait in line at one of the park's adventures and attractions.

Anaheim Convention Center

Pokémon Go trainers should head on over to this Anaheim landmark for its expansive campus complete with Pokéstops, gyms and plenty of rare Pokémon. Fun fact: the Anaheim Convention Center is the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast and it's currently undergoing a seventh expansion. The ACC campus is also a fantastic place to wander. With dozens of beautiful palm trees, water features and a "river of light" which is a symbolic metaphor for the importance that the Santa Ana River had in Anaheim's agricultural past.

Downtown Disney® District

You won't need park admission to visit the Downtown Disney® District, but we'd recommend an external battery charger for the time that it takes to hit all the Pokéstops in this awesome outdoor promenade. With over 15+ Pokéstops and gyms—come for the fun of Pokémon and enjoy lunch or dinner with other jungle creatures at the Rainforest Café.

A historical landmark in Anaheim that’s sure to be home to some rare Poké finds; the Anaheim Packing House could be your next stop to full-fledged Pokémon stardom. The former Sunkist® Packing House doubles as a Pokémon gym—so make sure to bring your 'A-game' to the hip food hall. The unique communal dining space is surrounded by more than 20 artisanal eateries with innovative takes on everything from comfort food to international classics.

Center Street in Downtown Anaheim will also have plenty of Pokéstops and landmarks for new trainers to stock up on. After you finish making your way through the Doduo and Ekans, stop in and refuel at one of the many restaurants and shops that make Center Street a great place to hangout. Dine at the Bulbasaur approved vegan-friendly eatery Healthy Junk or grab a much-needed cup of Stumptown coffee with Snorlax at the Ink & Bean coffee saloon.
(Poké tip: Geodude and Arbok have been spotted near the “Hammer Clock.”)
